Regulations

Applied rules
The Diddelenger Schwammfest is an international long course competition organised by the Cercle de Natation Dudelange. The rules of FINA and the Luxembourgish Swimming Federation FLNS will be applied.

The venue
The competition takes place at the swimming pool of Campus Geesseknäppchen, 31, boulevard Pierre Dupong, L-1430 Luxembourg. The competition pool has 50m and 10 lanes. The pool temperature is set at 27°C. OMEGA electronic timekeeping will be used.
A 25m warm up pool is available throughout the competition.

Swimmers born after the indicated dates will not be admitted.

Prizes
For each race, medals will be awarded to the first three swimmers in each age group. In addition, the first three swimmers in the open classification receive prize money (1st: €40, 2nd: €20, 3rd: €10). These prizes are only awarded to swimmers that have realised the time standards.
A team classification will be established. Points are awarded to a club for a swimmer’s classification in places 1 to 8 (1st= 10 points, 2nd=8 points, 3rd=6 points, 4th=5point, 5th=4 points, 6th=3 points, 7th=2points, 8th =1 point).
Trophies are presented to the three first clubs of the team classification.

Registration
All swimmers licensed with the Luxembourg Swimming Federation (FLNS) or a club affiliated to FINA may register for the Diddelenger Schwammfest.
Entries should be submitted with the “Splash” software. Alternatively the attached excel file may be used. All entries must be sent via email at meeting@cndu.lu.
Entry deadline: Friday 16th March at 18.00 (6.00 PM).
Entry fee: 4,5 €
Entry fee must be transferred to the account of CNDU (IBAN LU49 0030 0516 4979 0000, BGLLULL) by Monday 19 March 2018. Please use “Schwammfest 2018” as a reference for your payment. Cheque payment will not be accepted. The organiser will refused to any swimmer for which the entry fees have not been paid. The entry fees will not be reimbursed in case of absence or withdrawal.
The heats will be seeded according to entry times regardless of the swimmers’ age group.
The organiser may alter the programme or restrict the number of entries if necessary. In case of a limitation of entries, priority will be given to swimmers with confirmed entry times faster than the time standards.

Withdrawals
All withdrawals must be communicated to the competition office up to 30 minutes before the start of the respective session. In particular, we ask team leaders to declare withdrawals for 400, 800 and 1500m races.
Additional entries will not be accepted. It is however possible to replace an absent swimmer with a swimmer from the same age group.

Jury
The referees are nominated by the Luxembourgish swimming federation (FLNS).
Each club shall nominate two officials and communicate their qualifications to the organiser. Clubs with more than 20 swimmers are required to present 3 officials.

Responsibility
The organiser declines all responsibility in case of theft or accidents.

Lunch
Lunch (salat, main course, fruit + water) can be purchased in the competition venue at the price of €14. Lunch must be ordered in advanced at meeting@cndu.lu.

Snacks
A selection of drinks, sandwiches and cakes can be purchased throughout the weekend.
